What began as a straightforward exterior lighting upgrade for Rexel Distribution Center, San Leandro, quickly evolved into a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul for this 40,000 sq. ft. distribution center. Our relationship with the client deepened as our performance consistently exceeded expectations.
The initial scope involved new conduit and circuitry for 28 photo-controlled wall pack fixtures. Impressed with our delivery, Rexel expanded the project to include full interior warehouse lighting upgrades; 72 high-bay LED fixtures with vacancy and daylighting controls.
When the facility’s main 480V breaker failed, we coordinated with PG&E to safely replace it and restore power. This incident prompted a full thermal imaging inspection, revealing hazardous conditions from prior installations. We were then commissioned to lead a design-build electrical infrastructure upgrade, replacing feeders, upgrading multiple panels, and installing a compliant grounding electrode system. With each new challenge, our role has grown and we’ve become a trusted partner they continue to call on as the facility evolves.
